Overview

The Lloydminster Public School Division is located in the city of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan/Alberta, Canada.  Lloydminster is Canada's only border city, located in both the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta.  All of the public schools in the city of Lloydminster follow the Saskatchewan curriculum.

Initiatives


The School Division has undertaken a number of on-going initiatives which include the following:

Structured Success

The Structured Success Program is designed to meet the needs of students with social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This is an individualized, highly structured program to help children learn appropriate behaviors within a safe, secure environment. Students are provided with the opportunity to practice positive behaviors within a classroom setting. Each class is assigned one teacher and one teacher assistant with a maximum of 8-9 students per class. The program is available for students in the Lloydminster Public School Division. Further information and referral process is available from the school principals.

L.E.A.P. (Lloydminster Educational Advancement Program)

LEAP is a non-traditional, structured school setting for academically average students between the age of 14 and 21.
