Odyssey Out of School Care

Odyssey childcare programs are a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment that is essential to our community. They are a safe, secure place where we strive to meet the needs of children, individually and as a whole. The environment allows children to make choices and develop relationships with peers and adults.

The programs are operated by the Odyssey Community Childcare Society. The director, board and staff will ensure the programs works together with the families to meet the needs of all involved. The Out of School Care and Before School Care programs are staffed with qualified childcare professionals and each program follows the child ratios for licensing regulations.

The Programs will observe and acknowledge the individuality and uniqueness of each child by addressing their individual needs, interests and provide them with opportunities to achieve their full potential and give them the tools to meet the challenges in their daily journeys.

Children’s developmental needs will be met with physical activity, positive interaction, structure and clear limits, opportunities to develop and use their talents, skills and share their personal interests.

Interaction and communication with children will be positive, respectful and support the children’s social-emotional and intellectual development.
