Kindergarten Registration

Registration for Kindergarten is open.

Parents/Guardians, please register your child(ren) by completing the online registration form or you can register your child for Kindergarten at your neighbourhood school. 

Please look at the following attendance area map to view the school boundaries to determine which elementary school your child will attend if you wish to access busing.

2024-25 Kindergarten Open House Dates:
Please note: There has been some adjustments to Open House Dates.

Jack Kemp Community School - Monday, March 4, at 6:00 pm
Queen Elizabeth School - Thursday, March 7, at 6:00 pm
Rendell Park School - Thursday, March 7, at 6:30 pm
College Park School - Thursday, March 7, at 6:30 pm
Winston Churchill School - Thursday, March 21 at 6pm and Friday, March 22 at 1pm

 

Full-Time Kindergarten Now Offered at Select Schools

Beginning in the fall of 2024, LPSD will offer one full-time kindergarten class at the following three schools: Queen Elizabeth School, Jack Kemp Community School, and Winston Churchill School.  

Now accepting registrations, this program is open to anyone with a child turning five by December 31, 2024.

Families interested may register online and are asked to select the school nearest their residence.  Busing will only be provided to families living in the designated bus zone of the school. Parents will be notified regarding their enrolment status. Limited spots are available for this program; registrations will primarily be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For the 2024-25 school year, the following three LPSD schools will offer ONE full-time kindergarten class. They will offer a part-time kindergarten option as well.

  • Queen Elizabeth School 5512-51 Ave
  • Jack Kemp Community School 3701-47 Ave
  • Winston Churchill School 4402-27 St - PROGRAM FULL for 2024-25

Parents and Guardians interested in full-time kindergarten are asked to register at the location closest to their home. If one program is full and space remains at another location, this may be accommodated.

Parents are requested to submit only one registration.

Registration will be primarily filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Parents/Guardians will be notified of their enrolment status in March. 

If the program is full, their Kindergarten registration form would be sent to their zoned school for part-time Kindergarten enrolment.

If your child turns five this year, they will be ready to start Kindergarten in September.

Children who will be five years old by Dec. 31 are age-appropriate for Kindergarten. 

Families can register online via our Registration page found on lpsd.ca or on any of our school websites.

Once registered Parents may have the option to choose Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes or Tuesday/Thursday/Friday classes.
