Temporary Full-Time Contract

The Lloydminster Public School Division requires a full-time temporary Maintenance Worker in the Facilities Department.  This position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found and conclude January 31, 2024.

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for a broad spectrum of school property maintenance duties, including but not limited to:

  • Grounds maintenance such as mowing, grounds repairs and snow removal.
  • Maintaining caretaker supplies, equipment and shipment of such goods.
  • Day to day pickup and deliveries of various goods for all LPSD facilities.
  • Maintaining maintenance vehicles and equipment.
  • Fulfilling basic carpentry tasks. 
  • Assisting LPSD maintenance trades.

The successful applicant will possess a valid driver’s license, have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating grounds equipment (i.e.: Bobcat, Mowers).  Preference may be given to individuals who possess the following: boiler operations qualifications, basic trades certifications, basic technological literacy, and the ability to work with minimum supervision.  

As a condition of employment, the successful candidates will be required to present a satisfactory criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check.

The pay range associated with this position is $24.23 - $29.83 per hour.  A comprehensive benefit package is also offered.
