Educational Technology
LPSD employs two Educational Technology Consultants. The primary role of the consultants is to support students and staff to use technology in a safe, secure, and educational manner. The consultants use the LPSD Technology Strategic Plan as a guideline to support Curriculum and Instruction when students and staff use technology.
Information Technology
The LPSD IT department exists to provide a safe, secure, reliable and sustainable educational network for our students and staff. This network is used by students and staff to access educational resources, both internal and external to the LPSD system. The network is composed of division-owned assets, as well as multiple staff and student-owned devices on our secure BYOD networks. This equipment includes, but is not limited to: student Chromebooks and carts in all schools, laptops for all teaching staff, specialty desktop labs, Smartboards, projectors and TVs in virtually every LPSD teaching space, audio enhancement systems in all elementary classrooms, various network and printing equipment, and wireless infrastructure for division owned devices, BYOD networks, and 1:1 programs.
